My experience with perfume has been quite an interesting one. It is fascinating how different fragrances affect people in different ways. For me, it is all about the feeling I get when I put on a certain perfume. A good perfume lifts you up and makes you feel beautiful, it fills you with positivity and makes you want to share your happiness with the world. That is why I think finding the perfect perfume should be a fun and unique journey for everybody

Something I always say when it comes to buying perfume is not to get something solely based on other peoples’ recommendations
A fragrance always smells different on different people, depending on their unique body chemistry. This means that a perfume which may smell lovely on your friend, could smell terrible on you. This is why I think it is so important to always try on a perfume and wait a while before you decide, so that you know how it really smells on you. Another thing I think is important is not to be fooled by expensive perfumes. Sometimes you get what you pay for, but most of the time an expensive perfume does not necessarily mean a better smelling fragrance
I think that when it comes to choosing a perfume, there should be no limitations as to how many different types of perfume you have
It is important to have a variety of different perfumes in your collection, so that you can have the opportunity to match your outfit and make-up to whichever ever you choose. I always like to have a fresh, fruity perfume for my everyday wear, since it always keeps me feeling light-hearted and beautiful. Then I have different kinds of floral perfumes for the days when I want to look pretty but not overdone. When it comes to evening events and special occasions, I like to have a woody/oriental perfume to complete my outfit. It is also important to keep in mind that there are different ways to apply your perfume, in order to maximise the longevity of it. You should always spray it on your pulse points, such as your neck, wrists and behind your ears. Something I always make a note of is that you should apply perfume on moisturised skin, because that helps the fragrance stick to you for a longer time. Another thing I have noticed is that most people tend to rub their wrists together after spraying perfume on them, but this actually alters the way it smells due to the fact that you are mixing the fragrance with your body heat and oil. It is better to avoid doing this and let it dry naturally on your skin. Storing your perfume in a safe and dry place is also very important, since the hotter it is, the worse the scent can become.
